Shanxi requires large industrial and mining enterprises to build special railways

The Air Pollution Prevention and Control working group of Shanxi Province forwarded the "plan on promoting the transformation from road to railway in 2020 in Shanxi" which was formulated by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi, in order to accelerate the construction of special railways.
According to the plan, by the end of 2020, all large-scale industrial and mining enterprises with an annual freight volume of 1.5 million tons or more in Shanxi Province should, in principle, build special railways, and all key coal mining enterprises should be connected to special railways. In addition, more than 80% of key industrial enterprises such as iron and steel, primary aluminum, power and coking enterprises should be connected to special railways.
