Tanzania's Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa is reported to say that, when he attended closing ceremony of the 2020 Tanzania Minerals and Mining Investment Conference, the country has met requirements on selling 3T minerals (tin, tantalum and tungsten) now and significant development is likely to be seen in its mineral industry,

Statistics show that at present the mineral industry accounts for 5.07% of the total GDG of Tanzania; but with the country allowing mineral exports, this proportion is expected to grow to 10% by 2025.

At the closing ceremony, Kassim Majaliwa announced that Tanzanian government will begin to issue origin licenses for exported mineral products and the above 10% goal is likely to be realized within a short period of time. The Prime Minister Office said later in a statement that issuing of origin licenses indicates that Tanzania government begins to crack down illegal mining of natural resources.Asian Metal CopyrightTanzania's Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa is reported to say that, when he attended closing ceremony of the 2020 Tanzania Minerals and Mining Investment Conference, the country has met requirements on selling 3T minerals tin, tantalum and tungsten now and significant development is likely to be seen in its mineral industry, Statistics show that at present the mineral industry accounts for 5.Asian Metal Copyright Now, Tanzania is the fourth country in the Great Lakes region in Africa, following Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Burundi, to issue origin licenses for mineral exports.
