AM Stats: China's aluminum bar output down by 15.56% MOM in Jan

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 19 Feb 20 - According to Asian Metal Database, China produced about 755 kt of aluminum bar in January 2020, down by 15.56% MOM while up by 10.8% YOY.
Based on the data, the aluminum bar output in Shandong was 223 kt in January, down by 11.2% MOM, and that in Xinjiang was around 153 kt, basically unchanged MOM. The output in Inner Mongolia was about 112 kt in the month, down by 9% MOM; that in Guangxi was about 57 kt, down by 5% MOM; that in Qinghai was about 46 kt, down by 37.7% MOM.
Some aluminum bar producers suspended production for the Spring Festival holiday, which mainly led to the decline in production in January.
