China to revise copper scrap import standard

Xu Yuanfeng, Vice President of Trade Division, Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited, stated that the new standard is expected to come into force in March or Q2 2020. The import of low-end copper scrap under class six still needs import quotas . The amendment on the import standard of copper scrap under class six may alleviate the pressure that is caused by decreasing import volume of copper scrap in 2020.
