Japan sees high aluminum processing material production and sales in Aug

Statistics from JAA show that in August, the total production of aluminum plate, extrusion and foil was 170,000t in Japan, up by 10.7% YOY; and sales of the products were 164,400t, up by 4.3% YOY.
Based on the specific usage of aluminum processing materials, Japan's sales include: 34,900t of aluminum plate for can material, up by 0.3% YOY; 14,900t of automobile plate, up by 4.2% YOY; 37,900t of extrusion material for construction industry, up by 3% YOY; 11,000t of extrusion material for automobile, down by 4.9% YOY; 4,067t of aluminum foil in electrical machinery industry, down by 2.1% YOY; and 2,200t of aluminum foil for food ingredients, sharply down by 17.2% YOY.
