Shenhuo Group receives report reply to fire accident in Yongcheng aluminum plant

On late 19 August, Henan Shenhuo Group stated that it received the accident report reply to the accident on 26 May in the company's aluminum plant.
The furnace leak accident happened at 18:03 on 26 May, 2019 on an electrolytic cell in factory 4003# of Yongcheng Aluminum plant and caused a fire. The 250,000t capacity was suspended and three cells were damaged during the accident.
Based on accident investigation, the accident is a general safety production accident. It didn't kill anyone but brought about a direct economic loss of RMB3,721.7 (USD527). Yongcheng Aluminum plant should be liable for the accident and will be fined of RMB200,000-500,000 (USD28,333-70,834).
