Antam to cooperate with Huayou Cobalt and Shandong Xinhai to develop nickel projects

According to related report, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam), a state-owned company of Indonesia, will cooperate with two Chinese companies, Huayou Cobalt and Shandong Xinhai to develop nickel projects. In particular, Antam will cooperate with Huayou Cobalt in the production of first grade nickel used in EV batteries and this project will have an investment of USD6-12 billion. In addition, Antam will cooperate with Shandong Xinhai in building a ferronickel plant with an investment of USD1.2 billion. This project can produce 40,000t of ferronickel and 600,000t of stainless steel per year in the future.
