U.S. to lift sanctions on Rusal in 30 days

According to Rusal's statement, the United States plans to conditionally lift sanctions on the aluminum giant UC Rusal plc (Rusal).
The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has notified the U.S. Congress of its intention to terminate the sanctions imposed on Rusal in 30 days under several conditions which require Rusal to undertake significant restructuring and corporate governance changes as well as commit to full transparency with Treasury by undertaking extensive, ongoing auditing, certification, and reporting requirements, other than the compliance with the terms of their removal from OFAC's List of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons.
