U.S. initiates AD and CVD investigations on magnesium from Israel

On November 14, 2018, the Department of Commerce of U.S. (Commerce) initiated anti-dumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations on magnesium imported from Israel in response to the application lodged by US Magnesium LLC on October 24, 2018. Involved product was under HTSUS codes 8104.11.0000, 8104.19.0000 and 8104.30.0000. The USITC will issue preliminary determination of industry injury no later than December 10, 2018. If the USITC believed that imports of magnesium from Israel did injure the industry of U.S., the Commerce would continue investigations and release preliminary CVD determination on January 18, 2019, and preliminary AD determination on April 3, 2019.
