BEIJING (Asian Metal) 6 Aug 18 - The purchase price of titanium slag 90%min for August from CITIC Jinzhou Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. is RMB5,950/t (USD871/t) delivered D/A, unchanged from the figure of last month.
A source from the company noted that their purchasing volume for titanium slag 90%min is still 4,000t in August, in line with that of last month. In addition, the purchase price is unchanged at RMB5,950/t (USD871/t) delivered D/A. He said, "Although the titanium tetrachloride producers' operating rates were relatively low in July and the demand for high titanium slag weakened, their purchase price of titanium slag for August is unchanged as the production cost of high titanium slag is relatively high, the profits are relatively low, and some producers reduced output."
Mainly engaging in chlorination titanium dioxide business, the company has annual capacity of 60,000t of titanium dioxide and sells about 3,500t of titanium tetrachloride every month.
