On May 25, Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Holding Group's subsidiary company Northwest Nonferrous Metal Mining and Geological Exploration Group ("Northwest Nonferrous") held a mobilization meeting at Qianjiaping Vanadium Mine located in Shangluo, Shaanxi to advance its vanadium and new energy business.
Vanadium and new energy business is one of Northwest Nonferrous' six major business areas. Its subsidiary company Huayuan Mining owns the domestically leading ultraanthracite-type mine Qianjiaping Vanadium Mine ("the Mine"): It has the largest quantity of vanadium resources in China, has the biggest-size production lines for ultraanthracite-type vanadium ore in Asia, and is the first company in China adopting resin exchange technique based on strong-acid leaching system.
Northwest Nonferrous vows to adopt high standards in developing its vanadium business by fully tapping its resources and technical advantages. It has a three-year roadmap: by 2020, the Mine will achieve an ore-processing capacity of over 2,000tpd, and an annual production capacity of 5,000t of vanadium pentoxide and 5,000m3 of vanadium electrolyte; in the following less-than three years, the Mine will realize large-sized and standardized production of vanadium electrolyte, launch vanadium-related new material and new energy businesses, and achieve an annual operation revenue of over RMB1 . 5 billion; and by 2025, it virtually enters into the V-battery energy storage field and get listed in China's Growth Enterprises Market Board.
