USITC makes final determination on third anti-dumping sunset review of industrial damage caused by China's foundry coke

On March 29, 2018, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) made an affirmative final determination on third anti-dumping sunset review of industrial damage caused by foundry coke imported from China: If anti-dumping duty on the products involved is cancelled within a reasonably foreseeable period, substantial damage to domestic industry structure in the United States will continue or reoccur as a result of the import of the products involved. As for the determination, four members all gave positive votes. According to the above affirmative ruling results, the existing anti-dumping measures for foundry coke from China will continue to be effective.
On September 17, 2001, the United States formally imposed anti-dumping duties on foundry coke from China. On January 10, 2007, following the affirmative final determination of anti-dumping sunset review on China's foundry coke, the United States extended its anti-dumping order on the products involved for the first time. On June 8, 2012, following the affirmative final determination of anti-dumping sunset review on China's foundry coke, the United States extended its anti-dumping order on the products involved for the second time. On May 1, 2017, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to launch a third anti-dumping sunset review investigation on foundry coke imported from China. On August 4, 2017, the U.S. International Trade Commission voted to determine the investigation procedures for full-scale anti-dumping sunset review on industrial damage caused by foundry coke imported from China.
