    On November 2, Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform publicized Coordinated Action Plan on Energy between Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei (2017-2020), which came along as the first joint action plan on energy between the three regions. According to the plan, by 2020 annual coal consumption of the three regions will total around 300 million tons

    Previous data show that by 2016, the annual coal consumption of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei totaled 400 million tons.
