Shuangsheng Zinc Industry sees operating revenues up by 33% YOY to RMB53.43 million in H1 of 2017

According to 2017 semi-annual report recently announced by Shuangsheng Zinc Industry Co., Ltd. (832550), the company realized the operating revenues of about RMB53.43 million in H1 of 2017, up by around 32.85% compared with those in the same period of last year; net profits attributable to shareholders of the listed companies reached about minus RMB1.07 million with less losses and those in the same period of last year were around minus RMB3.22 million.
The report showed that zinc ingot prices continuously rose and were at high levels so far, resulting in price increase of the stocks. They used the pattern of zinc price plus treatment charges for pricing, which greatly pushed profit growth of company up in some degree. As environmental protection inspection and safety production management were stricter in China, some other zinc industry companies who had no qualifications or poor operating all closed one after another, leading to the tight product supply in market. Seller market gradually had an advantage over buyer market for sales of zinc powder with supply far less than demand. However, in H1 of this year, as two purification furnaces for zinc powder production had operated for ten years and were beyond normal life span, we halted production for overhaul unexpectedly in April, which influenced sales because of insufficient production.
