According to statistics of Manzhouli Customs, its import volumes of lead ore and concentrate have ranked top 5 among customs of China in recent 5 years consecutively
The import of lead ore and concentrate in Manzhouli Customs mainly had characters as follow:
1, Both import volume and import prices went up substantially. The monthly import volume of lead ore and concentrate increased consecutively after February 2017 . In May, the import volume reached 25,000t, creating a new high after the beginning of 2017 and up by 46 . 8% YOY; the average import price was RMB9,363.7/t during the month on average, up by 20 . 2% YOY.
2, All of the materials were imported from Russia and Mongolia. In May 2017, all imported lead ore and concentrate of Manzhouli Customs were from Russia and Mongolia . Specifically, the import volume from Russia was 23,000t, up by 1 . 1 times YOY and accounting for 92% of the total; the import volume from Mongolia which was zero in May 2016 increased to 2,000t in May 2017, accounting for 8% of the total.
3, Over 80% of the materials were imported through general trading. In May 2017, Manzhouli Customs imported 21,000t of lead ore and concentrate through general trading, up by 25 . 1% YOY and accounting for 84 . 0% of the total; the import volume of frontier petty trade which was zero in May 2016 increased to 4,000t in May 2017, accounting for 16 . 0% of the total.
4, Nearly 90% of the materials were imported by private enterprises. In May 2017, private enterprises within Manzhouli Customs region imported 22,000t of lead ore and concentrate, up by 73 . 7% YOY and accounting for 88% of the total; the import volume of enterprises invested by foreign investors, which was zero in May 2016, increased to 3,000t in May 2017, occupying 12 . 0% of the total.
5, About 50% of the materials were imported by enterprises in Inner Mongolia. In May 2017, enterprises in Inner Mongolia imported 14,000t of lead ore and concentrate, up by 1 . 5 times and accounting for 56% of the total; enterprises in Henan imported 8,000t of the material, down by 27 . 3% YOY and accounting for 32 . 0% of the total; the import volume of enterprises of Shanghai, which was zero in May 2016, went up to 3,000t in May 2017, accounting for 12 . 0% of the total.
