AM Statistics: Chinese aluminum fluoride output up by 13.8% MOM in March

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 5 Apr 17 - Based on Asian Metal Database, China produced around 49,500t of aluminum fluoride in March, 2017, up by 13.8% MOM. The output in Q1 dropped by 4.3% YOY to around 147,000t.

Chinese aluminum fluoride output by month
As shown in the above graph, Chinese aluminum fluoride output kept declining from last December. On the one hand, several producers were forced to halt production due to strict environmental protection inspection; and on the other hand, some producers cut or suspended production during the Spring Festival. In March, most producers resumed normal production and the operating rate climbed up. According to data, the operating rate for Chinese running aluminum fluoride plants moved up from 56.74% to 56.84% in March.

In March, six aluminum fluoride producers saw output increase. According to Asian Metal, the output in northwest China and Henan moved up by 20.39% and 9.47% MOM to around 18,300t and 10,400t respectively in March, while the output in Hunan and Shandong dropped by 22.2% and 12.2% MOM to around 7,000t and 8,600t respectively.
