Vietnam imposes provisional anti-dumping duties for Chinese H-beam steel

According to local media in Vietnam, Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade announced on Tuesday that Vietnam will impose provisional anti-dumping duties for Chinese H-beam steel from April 5 to August 2 and the applicable tax rate is 21.18%-36.33%.
Posco SS Vina Co., Ltd. lodged a complaint with Competition Authority, the Subordinate Department of Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade. They believed that Chinese H-beam steel do serious damage to the interest of domestic steel producers. On October 2016, Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade conducted anti-dumping investigation on Chinese imported H-beam steel and the time for investigation is from April 1 2016 to March 31 2017. There are five section steel producers in Vietnam now, but only Posco SS Vina produces H-beam steel with an annual capacity of 700,000t, so the company represent H-beam steel industry to lodge a complaint for imported steel.
