Chinese secondary aluminum alloy output by month
In November, Chinese secondary aluminum alloy ingot prices held at high levels due to strong A00 aluminum ingot market and firm aluminum scraps prices. The price for ADC12 aluminum alloy ingot ranged between RMB14,200-15,200/t ex works . In addition, demand for the metal was strong both at home and abroad . Buyers from Japan needed to add stocks for the Spring Festival holiday . Therefore, Chinese secondary aluminum alloy production rose a lot in November.
However, in December, some small-sized producers cut or halted production due to strict environmental protection policy.
In November, the output in Guangdong was around 83,000t, up by 8.9% MOM, followed by Jiangsu and Chongqing with output at around 34,000t and 32,000t respectively.
Based on the data, 20 producers witnessed output increase in November. The average operating rate for Chinese running secondary aluminum alloy plants edged up to 61 . 39% in November from 57 . 92% in October.
