AM Statistics: 1.15 million tonnes of primary aluminum capacities to come on stream in Xinjiang in H2 2015

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Jul 15 - According to Asian Metal Database, there will be around 1.15 million tonnes of annual primary aluminum capacities to come on stream in Xinjiang of China in the second half of 2015. In the first half of 2015, Xinjiang produced around 2.9 million tonnes of primary aluminum. It is predicted that the output may reach 6.15 million tonnes in 2015, up by 40% YOY.

The above graph shows that the primary aluminum output kept climbing up since January 2014, but the increasing speed calm down in 2015, as new capacities to come on stream becomes less and less. Primary aluminum capacities in Xinjiang are close to saturation gradually.
