Singaporean angle steel market slow

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 5 Jun 15 - Angle steel market runs quietly with prices demonstrating a flat trend in Singapore. Insiders foresee a slow angle steel market in the near future.
A local steel trader says that the current price of angle steel SS400 50mm*50mm*5mm is SGD565/t (USD420/t), unchanged compared with that of last week.
The source tells Asian Metal that the demand for angle steel shows no signs of releasing in Singapore, and the market has been running slowly for a long period. His sales volume in past several days was 20-30tpd, while it can reach 50tpd when the market is good. According to him, there is no promising news from relevant industries, and local section steel market is unlikely to witness any improvement within a short period.
Another local steel trader discloses that the current price of angle steel SS400 50mm*50mm*5mm is SGD559/t (USD415/t), the same as that of last week.
The source discloses to Asian Metal that the demand from construction industry is not sufficient without enough infrastructure projects. Currently, his daily sales volume is only 10-20t, while it was 30-50t during the corresponding period of last year. To avoid risks, he only holds a small inventory of 200t at this moment. He foresees a dim angle steel market in following several weeks.
