Asian Metal visits Good Man Venture, Magic Millions Mining, and Seng Hiap Metal in Malaysia

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Sep 15 - On September 14, 2015, Mr. Friday Gao, Base Metals Department Manager of Asian Metal visited Good Man Venture Sdn Bhd, Magic Millions Mining Sdn Bhd and Seng Hiap Metal Sdn Bhd in Malaysia.
In the afternoon, Mr. Gao firstly met Mr. Kong Why Sing, executive director of Good Man Venture, and Steven Lim, a director from Magic Millions Mining. According to Mr. Kong, his company started exporting bauxite in last August with a volume of about 300,000t per month from three mines. Currently, it has engaged in washing ores and is able to supply high grade bauxite Al 47-48%min Si 3%max with a volume of 40,000-50,000t per month. But Mr Kong pointed out that ore washing rate in Malaysia is low in general, and 10t of rude ore can only produce 3t of high grade bauxite. Also the speed of ore washing is mainly restrained by supply of rude ore.
On the afternoon of September 16, Mr Gao paid a visit to Mr C.N. Seah, CEO of Seng Hiap Metal. The company began supplying bauxite, mainly crude ore, in early 2015 with a volume of around 300,000t per month. According to Mr Seah, because low grade crude ore can meet Chinese buyers’ demand and washing ore is inefficient, so they have no intention of washing bauxite.
