Japan Hitachi Medical visits Asian Metal

Hideaki Fujiwara, Manager of Business Promotion office and Zhuang Lixin, Minister of Business Promotion Department came to visit Asian Metal on the morning of November 6th, 2012, talking about the neodymium and dysprosium markets with Vivian Pang, analyst of Rare Earth and NdFeB markets and Maggie Lee, analyst of rare earth market.
Hitachi Medical was founded in 1949 and it is committed to research and development of image medical devices for ultrasonic, CT and nuclear magnetic resonance. Its products have entered Chinese market early. Shanghai Huashan Hospital imported CT-H2 in 1978, which is the first CT medical device in China. Hitachi Medical also has set up many branches in Beijing, Suzhou and Guangzhou etc.
Hitachi Medical Corporation consumes NdFeB magnets to produce products and prices of neodymium and dysprosium metal play an important role in NdFeB magnets price changes. Therefore, Hideaki Fujiwara and Mr Zhuang pay close attention to neodymium and dysprosium metal. At the very beginning, Hideaki Fujiwara asked Vivian to give him a brief introduction to current market situations of neodymium and dysprosium metals. “NdFeB magnets market continue to see soft demand and rare transactions as purchasers refrain from rebuilding stocks. However, neodymium and dysprosium metal prices show upward tendencies at present as government enhanced management on illegal manufacture and separation plants and smelters ceased production.” said Vivian.
Hideaki Fujiwara and Mr Zhuang also care about when producers will recover manufacture, what element affect rare earth production cost, whether monopoly invoice impacts rare earth prices and the development of rare earth projects outside of China. Vivian expressed her idea about above questions one by one. Hideaki Fujiwara also revealed his opinions about these stuffs.
Hideaki Fujiwara and Mr Zhuang show their appreciation to Asian Metal for the information and they hope to communicate with Asian Metal promptly about the market dynamics in the future.
