Asian Metal visits Chifeng Aolunhua Mining, Chifeng Houde Mining, Jinzhou New China Dragon Moly and Huludao Hongda Mining

On September 5-7th, David Li, general manager of ferroalloys department and Coco Li, analyst of molybdenum market from Asian Metal visited Chifeng Aolunhua Mining Co., Ltd., Chifeng Houde Mining Co,, Ltd., Jinzhou New China Dragon Co., Ltd. and Huludao Hongda Mining Co., Ltd.. Asian Metal received warm reception from those companies, and exchanged the latest market information and views with them on domestic molybdenum industry outlook.
Asian Metal visited Chifeng Aolunhua Mining Co., Ltd. on the afternoon of September 5th and received a warm reception from Mr. Yan Zhongbao, vice general manager of Chifeng Aolunhua Mining and Mr. Yu Zhenhai, marketing minister of Chifeng Aolunhua Mining. On the morning of September 6th, Mr. Yu led Asian Metal to visit the molybdenum deposit and the plants. Chifeng Aolunhua Mining is located in Ar Horqin Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, and established in January 2007, with the reserves of 100 thousand tons of copper and molybdenum. As a large-scale open-pit molybdenum mine, they started to produce molybdenum concentrate from 2009, with a production capacity of 6,000t per year.
On the afternoon of September 6th, Asian Metal arrived at Chifeng Houde Mining Co., Ltd., 80km away from Chifeng Aolunhua Mining Co., Ltd., and got a warm reception from Mr. Zhang Jianping, GM of the company. Chifeng Houde Mining Co., Ltd. applied for the registration of Banla Mountain copper-molybdenum polymetallic ore in July 2005, and the total mining area is 25.76 square kilometers, containing 13 million tons of copper-molybdenum ores. With a reserve of 20 thousand tons of molybdenum, an average grade of 0.3%, the mine could give service up to 15 years. In 2012, Chifeng Houde Mining invested RMB3,000 to produce two production lines, with a production capacity of 1,300tpd of molybdenum ores for each. One line had put into operation by the end of June, and the other one was built in August, putting into production by the end of December this year.
On the morning of September 7th, Asian Metal visited Jinzhou New China Dragon Moly Co., Ltd., and GM Shang Qinghai introduced their production and sales. Jinzhou New China Dragon Moly is a professional enterprise integrating mining,mineral dressing,smelting, processing and trade in one body after years of development, and it has pioneered the use of fully automated production line, with a production capacity of 15,000t per year, ranking the second largest ferromolybdenum producer in China. On August 24th, Jinzhou New China Dragon Molybdenum landed A-share market, becoming the third public listed molybdenum company after JDC and China Moly.
On the afternoon of September 7th, Asian Metal arrived in Liaoning province, to visit Huludao Hongda Mining. Mr. Li Xiaohui from the company guided Asian Metal to visit the molybdenum mine and dressing plant and introduced the principle of underground mining. Huludao Hongda Mining was established in early 2004 with a registered capital of 10 million yuan, and mainly produces molybdenum concentrate, with the production capacity of 7,200t per year.
