- End of Forum
- World Magnesia Forum 2013 was held at Kempinski Hotel Dalian on April 11-12 successfully and with more than 50 delegates in attendance.
- Major producers including Haicheng Houying Group, Haicheng Huayu Group, Haicheng Xiyang Group, Yingkou Ningfeng Magnesia Co.,Ltd. Nedmag, Magnezita, Qmag and many others attended the conference. Major traders from Dalian, Zhengzhou and so on were also active participants in the forum as were foreign buyers from Europe, India, Japan and South Korea.
- The first speech was delivered by Mr. Wei Tong, a Consultant and Senior Engineer from the Chinese Refractory Industrial Association, ACRE Coke and Refractory Engineering Consulting Corporation, MCC. The focus of the speech was on the Chinese technical progress in producing magnesia and the sustainable development of magnesia industry.
- Mr. Alex Medendorp, Marketing&Sales Director of Nedmag Industries made a presentation on Nedmag magnesia market, and explained their brand of magnesia products and its unique standing in the overall magnesia products sector.
- Mr. Zhao Yingri, President of Anshan Xinghuo Special Fireproof Materials Co.,Ltd introduced reflections on exporting deep processing of magnesia finished products.
- Dr. Ian Wilson touched on the current situation of global magnesia market and outlook for the industry.
- In the afternoon, Mr. Wang Yizhong, Marketing & Sales Director of Qinghai West Magnesium Co.,Ltd., devoted his presentation on the new trend of global magnesium industry development
- Mr. Zhang Guanghe, General Manager of Guangyi Mining Products Group Co.,Ltd, introduced the application and theory of iron element in magnesia-based lining
- Mr. Jerry Zhou, Manager of R&D and Quality control of Mayerton Group China delivered a paper on technical innovation to keep market share in crisis.
- Mr. Jiao Hua, Manager of Industrial Minerals Products in North China of SGS introduced some common problems in the third party inspection on magnesia exporting.
- The last activity of the forum afforded all participants at the forum to take part in a panel discussion on hot topics such as export quota, anti-dumping, and environmental protection etc. Participants from famous enterprises were active and eager to share their opinions and perspectives, and Mr. Liu Jian from CCCMC joined the discussion and shared his own opinion with participants.
