OverviewMore: China titanium market dramatically fluctuated in 2011 as the price and demand for titanium productions went up rapidly in the first half and dropped sharply in the second half of the year. At the beginning of 2012, upstream and downstream of titanium market split up. Ilmenite, titanium slag and other upstream titanium production were in tight supply in the first quarter, which pushed up quotations. However, demand for titanium sponge and titanium products were not strong with inactive purchase. Upstream market also began to slip due to increasing supply in the second quarter. How can titanium market get out of the downturn in the second half of 2012?; International economy has been greatly affected by the European debt crisis. The overall economy fails to recover and the demand for titanium products slackens. Domestic industries are in a downward phase. Industrial titanium consumption is declining.
