- OverviewMore
- 2012 was a tough year for Chinese ferrosilicon industry…
- Demand for ferrosilicon from downstream industries continued to decline impacted by the slowing economic growth. Although Chinese government released some relative policies to stimulate the industry, no obvious improvement appears in the market. In addition, the problems, such as high export tariff of 25%, chaotic smuggling and slow demand from overseas consumers and so on, all made Chinese ferrosilicon export weaker and weaker.
- However, some ferrosilicon elites still made gratifying achievements under the quite difficult economic environment. They enlarged production and market share, and built trade relations directly with end-users and traders.
