After the global economic crisis broke out in 2008, bismuth metal price decreases sharply. With the worldwide economy walks out of the most difficult times in the second half of 2009, bismuth end-users come to replenish raw materials, but the market is not completely active.
Demand for bismuth metal in electronics, automobile and pigments industries descends sharply and low-melting alloys and pigments prices also drop, so many bismuth smelters either reduce their outputs or shut down so as to avoid potential risks.
