- Ningxia Sun Magnesium Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in September 2008. The company is major in the development and production of magnesium, magnesium alloy products and ferrosilicon alloy products which widely applied in the fields of aerospace, automotive, electronics industry, military industry and civilian use. Ningxia Sun Magnesium Industry Cyclic Economy Industrial Park is an important strategy project of Dunan Group’s transformation and upgrading which is “Green energy-saving, Low-carbon environment”.
- On September 8, 2008, Ningxia Sun Magnesium Industry Co., Ltd. was formally registered and began to build on July, 2009. On November, 2010, the first magnesium and magnesium alloys production line with a capacity of 35,000tpy was put into trial production.
- “Ningxia Xirui Mining Co., Ltd.”, “Ningxia Ruixing Mining Co., Ltd.” and “Ningxia Xinqiao Energy Development Co., Ltd.” was established in June-October, 2011. The responsibilities of these companies were to undertake Shizuishan silica, Ningdong coal, Qinglongshan dolomite ore and other mine projects.
- In August 2011, ferrosilicon project with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons started to work, the first two 25500KVA ferrosilicon electric furnaces were put into production on August 5, 2013, and completed production of 10,581.85 tons, with qualified rate of 75.08% for 75# ferrosilicon.
- In 2013, the company’s main business revenues were RMB57,428.41 under the weak market condition, and ranked the second in domestic, which made the brand of “Taiyang” well-known, and successfully got through the second magnesium industry access by MIIT.
