European antimony customers went back to antimony market into September and sent inquiries gradually, additionally, Chinese suppliers held high expectation toward the market in September after great losses in the past months, so they pushed the price up step by step. The price of antimony ingot 99.65%min went up to RMB70,000-72,500/t (USD11,179-11,578/t) ex works from RMB68,500-71,000/t (USD 10,860- 11,339/t) ex works slowly on weak demand in spot market.
The antimony trioxide price increased following the price rise of antimony ingot. As many downstream customers were worried about the sharp price increase and made replacement gradually, this gave suppliers more confidence to raise their offers. The price of antimony trioxide 99.5%min rose from RMB59,000-61,000/t (USD9,422- 9,742/t) ex works in early September to RMB62,000-64,000/t (USD 9,901- 10,221/t) ex works in late September.
