Russian ferrovanadium transaction prices keep rising

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Apr 13 - Russian ferrovanadium 50%min figures keep rising as the market is active. The prices of ferrovanadium 50%min rise to RUB585-605/kg (USD37.7-39/kg V).
A Moscow-based trader said that Russian demand for ferrovanadium remains stable, and prices of ferrovanadium 50%min go up by RUB30/kg V from that of last week, and the company offered the price of ferrovanadium 50%min at RUB600/kg V. He holds 3t inventories of ferrovanadium 50%min and concluded a 2t deal last week.
He mentioned that now it is difficult to find the prices below RUB560/kg V as suppliers are reluctant to sell inventories. He will not consider cutting prices for large purchases.
A St.Petersburg-based trader cited the prices of ferrovanadium 50%min at RUB620/kg V, and he was able to sell one ton of ferrovanadium at this price, holding one ton of inventories.
"I received plenty of enquiries, mainly in small volumes. While the demand in this quarter is better than expected. Traders hike the price of ferrovanadium, and I plan to replenish inventories next week as I am bullish on future market, " Commented the trader.
