Prices of stainless steel products ran in a generally downward trend in February due to the weak demand and the decreasing nickel price. It was the public holiday for Spring Festival from February 8th to 15th, but most participants left the market at the month end of January and some of them did not return until the Lantern Festival, so the market was quite dull and prices began moving down after the holiday. However, it would be the beginning of the traditional booming season in March, when most construction projects resume the operation, so the demand is likely to increase and prices will go up slightly.
