The stainless steel market did not make much progress in November in China, because the demand from downstream buyers remained soft, although some products’ prices moved up pushed by the increasing nickel price. Prices of stainless seamless pipe and stainless bar still went down this month and producers intended to raise quotations at the month end when the price of nickel showed a strong upward trend. Observers predict that prices are likely to go down further next month.
