After the National Day holiday which was from 30 September to 7 October, prices of most stainless steel products in China showed a downward trend in general, as the market performance did not make much progress. Meanwhile, the price of the raw material-nickel kept moving down just after the holiday, so it imposed negative influence on the downstream stainless steel market as well. With the approach of the traditional slow season in winter, the demand will be weaker while most producers and traders’ inventories are comparatively high, so observers predict that prices of stainless steel will remain low in November.
