Prices of stainless steel products in September showed an upward trend in general, mainly driven by the increasing price of the raw material-nickel. After the price moved up, the market performance did not make much progress as the overall economic situation in the world remained unfavorable and the demand from end users was as weak as before. Most participants were not confident of the coming market in October. Observers predict that prices of stainless steel will keep moving up next month but the markup will be narrow in the context of a weak market demand.
