HGI coil prices in Chinese prevailing markets recorded an upward trend this month, while the market performance continued to be sluggish affected by downstream customers’ weak demand. Although most downstream customers were still not eager to build large stocks but inclined to purchase according to urgent needs, traders were unwilling to lower their prices in view of the high purchase cost. Seeing the weather grows warmer gradually with the arrival of summer, which means customers’ frequent purchasing activities, insiders predict the price is likely to move up in the following month.
