In China, most stainless steel products’ prices experienced an up-down trend in February, the first month after the Spring Festival holiday. Prices increased greatly early this month spurred by the large price increase of the raw material-nickel. Afterwards, prices began moving down slightly and continuously because of the weak demand and the unstable price of nickel. Steel mills and traders were pessimistic about the market in March, deeming the stainless steel price may go down further slightly.
