Although prices of raw materials such as nickel and stainless scrap rebounded slightly in the last month of 2011, December, prices of most stainless steel products kept in downward trends because of the rather dull market. Most participants planned to take the Spring Festival holiday early January or middle January, so they deemed the price of stainless steel would be unchanged in following several weeks of January.
