In October 2011, gallium market continued to be sluggish and most movement were from long-term contracts. Most buyers were waiting for further depreciations when prices decreased gradually. As for the future market, prices would soften again if Chinese supply could release, because the demand from downstream industry, like gallium arsenide, could be stable.
