The Chinese domestic supply is extremely tight as main gallium producers are grudging in selling in the spot market to guarantee long-term contracts. Gallium demand continues moving up with the high development of LED and its downstream production, and production capacities of gallium still could not meet its growing. But with insufficient inventories for gallium producers to provide, the deals in the sport market were thin and gallium price rises at a modest rate in May.
