Chinese crude steel output up by 4.8% in November

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Dec 10 - Statistics from NBS showed that Chinese outputs of crude steel, cast iron and steel products were 577.25 million tons, 543.57 million tons and 730.29 million tons respectively in the previous eleven months of 2010, rising by 10.1%, 8% and 15.7% year on year. Therein, domestic outputs of crude steel, pig iron and steel products were 50.17 million tons, 46.92 million tons and 65.89 million tons respectively in November, up by 4.8%, 3% and 4.6% over the same period of last month. The yield of domestic crude steel returned to an upward trend after three months’ year-on-year drop.
In November, Chinese daily output of crude steel was1.672 million tons, increasing by 3.1% over the same period of last month, and that of steel products was 2.196 million tons, moving up by 4.3% month on month.
Analyzed with corresponding data of import and export, domestic supplies of crude steel and steel products were 551.43 million tons and 705.61 million tons respectively in the first eleven months of this year, growing by 5.4%, 12.7% on year-on-year basis. Therein, in November domestic supplies of crude steel and steel products were 48.62 million tons and 64.36 million tons respectively, up by 4.5% and 4.7%.
In November, Chinese daily output of crude steel was1.672 million tons, increasing by 3.1% over the same period of last month, and that of steel products was 2.196 million tons, moving up by 4.3% month on month.
Analyzed with corresponding data of import and export, domestic supplies of crude steel and steel products were 551.43 million tons and 705.61 million tons respectively in the first eleven months of this year, growing by 5.4%, 12.7% on year-on-year basis. Therein, in November domestic supplies of crude steel and steel products were 48.62 million tons and 64.36 million tons respectively, up by 4.5% and 4.7%.
