CISA: Daily output of crude steel was 1.634 million tons in late Nov

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Dec 10 – Quarterly report of China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) shows that the daily output of crude steel reached 1.643 million tons in late November, increasing by 2.74% compared with that of mid-November. The report attributes the production increase to the price rebounding of steel products as well as the slack energy saving and emission production policy in the same period.
According to the report, the daily production of crude steel was 1.622 million tons in November, witnessing a month-on-month increase of 2.4%.
In addition, the output of crude steel produced by large and medium-sized steel mills was 13.6758 million tons in late November while the domestic level was expected to be 16.4285 million tons.
Previous data from CISA showed that the daily crude steel output was 1.607 million tons in mid-November, with a markup of 0.4% compared with that of early November. China State Statistics Bureau showed that national crude steel production level was 50.3 million tons in October, down by 3.8% year-on-year.
According to the report, the daily production of crude steel was 1.622 million tons in November, witnessing a month-on-month increase of 2.4%.
