China's auto production and sales up notably YOY in Jan

Statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) showed that in January 2021 China's automobile industry continued to show a sound development trend; compared with relatively smaller figures in the same period of last year, China's auto production and sales in Jan 2021 increased notably.
In January 2021, China's auto production and sales were 2.386 million vehicles and 2.503 million vehicles respectively, up by 34.6% and 29.5% YOY, and down by 15.9% and 11.6% MOM. In particular, NEV production and sales were 194,000 vehicles and 179,000 vehicles respectively, up by 285.8% and 238.5% YOY, and down by 17.8% and 27.8% MOM.
