Central enterprises cut coal production capacity by 119 million tons in past five years

According to a recent meeting held by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), since 2016, central enterprises have cut 119 million tons of coal production capacity, properly relocated 120,000 workers, and achieved the overall targets and tasks of cutting overcapacity ahead of schedule.

Through measures such as cutting overcapacity and supervising environmental protection and safety, China has changed the situation of decentralized distribution, homogenized management and repeated construction of coal resources in central enterprises.
