Mintai Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. released its performance forecast on January 11, 2021. It is expected that the net profit attributable to shareholders of the company will reach RMB1,050-1,100 million (USD162-170 million) in 2020, an increase of RMB133-183 million (USD20.54-28.26 million) or 15%-20% compared with the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the launch of new products further improved the market competitiveness of the company; aluminum foil for lithium battery soft package, aluminum for automotive and other high value-added products optimized the product structure and improved the profitability of the company. Sales growth in transportation, green consumption, medicine and other fields ensured the successful completion of the annual target; the sales volume of aluminum sheet and foil were about 980,000 tons, an increase of about 14%. Aluminum material for autos successfully entered the procurement system of NIO, BYD and other first-class car companies.
