Hunan closes 33 small-scale coal mines in 2020

It's reported that as of December 31, 2020, the people's governments of Hunan issued 33 decisions of coal mine closure last year, closing 33 unsafe small-scale coal mines in accordance with the law. As a result, the province's coal industry safety development capabilities were further improved.
According to the Hunan Provincial Coal Mine Production Capacity Announcement issued by the State Administration of Work Safety, as of December 31, 2019, Hunan had 81 production coal mines with a total production capacity of 12.24 million tons per year. Among them, there were 31 coal mines with an annual output of less than 90,000t (including 90,000t) and a total production capacity of 2.37 million tons per year; there were 62 coal mines with an annual output of less than 150,000t and a total production capacity of 6.65 million tons per year; there were 78 coal mines with an output of less than 300,000t and a total production capacity of 10.59 million tons per year.
