Secondary aluminum ash full amount comprehensive utilization production line of Chalco Zhengzhou Research Institute goes into trial operation

Recently, the first phase (60,000tpy) of the secondary aluminum ash comprehensive utilization project with an annual procession capacity of 120,000t which was designed and built by Chalco Zhengzhou Research Institute finished trial operation in Henan province.Asian Metal Copyright The performance of the products all meet the national or industrial standards and can be widely used as building material, metallurgy and refractory materials, etc.Asian Metal Copyright As of December 17, 2020, the production line has processed 1,000t of secondary aluminum ash, recycled 90t of crude aluminum (Al>60%) and 700t of high-alumina bauxite, which could be made into magnesia-alumina spinel, refining agent for steelmaking, calcium aluminate powder, and so on.Asian Metal Copyright Adopting this technology, enterprises can reduce the cost on disposal of hazardous waste by about RMB6 billion USD919 million per year, and the product can bring a profit of about RMB1-2 billion USD153-307 million.Asian Metal Copyright The performance of the products all meet the national or industrial standards and can be widely used as building material, metallurgy and refractory materials, etc.

At present, China produces about 2 million tons of secondary aluminum ash every year. Adopting this technology, enterprises can reduce the cost on disposal of hazardous waste by about RMB6 billion (USD919 million) per year, and the product can bring a profit of about RMB1-2 billion (USD153-307 million).
