Ball Corporation will build a new U.S. aluminum beverage packaging plant in Pittston, Pennsylvania. The company plans to invest more than $300 million in the facility over multiple years.
The company will retrofit a 1,078,799-square-foot industrial building in Jenkins Township to create a multiline sustainable aluminum beverage packaging manufacturing operation. Scheduled to begin production in mid-2021, the plant will supply customers with a portfolio of can sizes to serve the addressable market.
