Prices of non-grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China went up obviously during this month mainly supported by the low market inventory and the price increase of other steel products like CRC, while those of grain oriented electrical steel kept the downward trend on soft demand. Traders reduced their contract volumes with steel mills in recent months due to the high purchase cost, and there were not so many materials in the spot market. Customers were still purchasing materials for urgent need and the market sales performance continued to be unsatisfying.
