Shandong Shenghe's relocation project of rare earth separation approved

On November 19, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong announced the application of the relocation project of 5,500tpy rare earth separation submitted by Shandong Shenghe New Material Technology Co., Ltd., as follows:
The project is the relocation of Zhongkai Rare Earth Materials Co., Ltd. into the park, which also needs to complete the investment and shareholding project of Chalco (Shandong) Rare Earth Co., Ltd. Zhongkai Rare Earth is mainly engaged in the smelting and separation of rare earth chlorides and rare earths. The current rare earth separation capacity is 5,500tpy. According to relevant government requirements, related projects of this enterprise must be relocated to Jinshan Industrial Park in Qilu Chemical Industrial Park. During the relocation process, Zhongkai Rare Earth's original output, capacity scale and related procedures (capacity equivalent replacement) shall be merged into the newly established Shenghe New Material Technology Co., Ltd., and related procedures such as the capital injection of Zhongkai shall be completed.
Shandong Shenghe New Material Technology Co., Ltd., after the completion of registration, is a subsidiary invested by Chalco (Shandong) Rare Earth Co., Ltd., undertaking the production scale of 5,500tpy of rare earth separation by Zhongkai Rare Earth Materials Co., Ltd. without increasing production capacity. The planned land for the project is located in Hanjia Village and Xuwang Village, Jinshan Town, with a total land scale of 6.6676 hectares.
