The Japan Iron and Steel Federation recently stated that Japan's September crude steel production fell 19.3% from the same period last year, a seventh consecutive month of year-on-year decline, as the demand affected badly by the pandemic. Data show that the crude steel output in September was 6.49 million tons, an increase of 0.6% from August, which was the third consecutive month of month-on-month increase.
